Graft Matching

Graft Matching is one of the added value services provided by MTF. The service is specifically designed to provide orthopedic surgeons with the best possible, anatomically matched allograft to meet each individual patient’s unique needs. At MTF, our graft matching process is overseen by specialists trained in orthopedic surgery.

Receiving a matched allograft from MTF eliminates the need for the surgeon to make extensive modifications to the chosen allograft at the time of surgery which significantly decreases surgical time. Our service also promotes properly fitted tissues for meniscus and osteochondral resurfacing surgeries which helps ensure the best possible patient outcomes. Once a match is made at MTF, the patient’s specifications and those of the matched tissue are sent to the transplanting surgeon for final review and acceptance. Only after the surgeon’s acceptance is the properly matched graft distributed for implantation.
